After announcing the return of our ever-popular Birmingham Women in Business networking series earlier this summer, we were so delighted by the turn-out and response from our guests!
Joining us last month for a great afternoon of open networking alongside this year’s Wimbledon matches, we congregated at The Good Intent in the Great Western Arcade for Pimms, prosecco and afternoon tea.
We were delighted to be joined for the day by Leyla Ogan, former tennis pro and current Head of Racquets at Edgbaston Priory Club, who spoke openly and honestly about the struggles faced by female tennis players and female athletes more broadly, giving a real insiders perspective into the game. I know that for many attendees, hearing how the game has both come on leads and bounds alongside the work that still needs to be done was an absolute highlight of the day, and we so appreciate her taking the time to join us.
As with all of our SimkissGuy Recruitment events, we had the wonderful team at LoveBrum on hand to answer questions about the fantastic work they do across the West Midlands. Through the generosity of our attendees, we also raised vital funds on the day which will go directly to supporting the causes they champion across our region.
Beyond the matches, at the heart of our incredibly popular Birmingham Women in Business event series is a focus on championing the cause of female professionals and entrepreneurs, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment. Our aim is to create a strong support network where women can connect, collaborate, and thrive and we are so pleased to see how this has resonated with our guests.
While Welcome to Wimbledon marked the relaunch of our BWB events, we have many more events in the works as we continue to develop and celebrate the vibrant community of inspiring women in Birmingham.
