“They say recruitment is a rollercoaster ride….” – Beth Owens

They say recruitment is a rollercoaster ride, but I have discovered it’s a lot calmer when you have a great team around you!
After two months I am now settling into the SimkissGuy way of life. We have already begun the Christmas festivities with Christmas playlists in the office, German Bratwurst for lunch, and much discussion over secret Santa Christmas presents!
I am so grateful that I have been able to take part in all aspects of the company already, from helping to run events and speaking with candidates, to making sure our vacancy information is up to date at all times! Every job plays a significant part in the smooth running of the company and I have learnt that recruitment isn’t just about finding a candidate and getting them their dream job, there is a LOT of work done in the background.
My third month will see the team hosting the Colmore Christmas Curry Club (sold out!) and Cocktail Club. To encourage the festivities we will be spending the day in Christmas jumpers to spread the festive cheer. As the year comes to a close, SimkissGuy has continued to grow, with two new Relationship Managers, a Recruitment Coordinator, and a new intern, the team has expanded significantly. Alongside this, we have just won the Small Business of the Year 2015 at the Birmingham Awards. It’s been quite a year.
I can’t wait to see what 2016 brings!
