Investing in tomorrow. It sounds rather grand. But as a business we have always believed that “small things” matter, and can make the biggest difference.
Our Investing in Tomorrow programme is simply about doing what we can to help those in education and training be the best they can be, to have the opportunity to make the most informed choice for their career and to have valuable insight into the commercial world.
Having close links with local schools, colleges and universities across the region, all members of the SimkissGuy team provide valuable mentoring support to those in education and deliver regular workshops and one to one sessions to students on career advice, CV presentation, interview skills, and generally highlighting what an all round fantastic place Birmingham and the West Midlands is to build a career.
We are regular participants in “Dragons Den” style events, one-day workshops that aim to equip students with valuable group and communication skills as well as giving them an insight into entrepreneurship. Aimed at GCSE level pupils with an interest in business studies, the sessions encourage wider thought about the business world – inspiring a new generation of entrepreneurs.
For those who have completed education and are looking to take their first steps on the career ladder, the SimkissGuy work experience programme provides the opportunity for graduate calibre young professionals to gain vital work experience.

I’ve just got back from work and what a cracking first day! I felt very welcomed, everyone was thorough with me explaining where things are and no question was a silly one to ask. Everyone from all departments answered questions I threw at them. Literally every single person was so nice and welcoming. I’m so looking forward to getting stuck it and going back tomorrow!
On another note, what a lovely surprise to have received the brownies from you. Total shock and very much welcomed. And such a kind reassuring gesture from yourselves.
