SimkissGuy Directors’ Becky and Richard hit the airwaves with former BBC “Dragon”

When we founded SimkissGuy in January 2013, we made a commitment to do all we could to engage with the “next generation”. To try to inspire and bring to life for those at school, college and university the wealth of career opportunities that are available right here in the Midlands.
It was in this spirit of “giving back” that our paths crossed with Mark Sephton. Mark is a personal mentor to entrepreneurs both nationally and internationally. Mark is also the host of “Talk Business”, a straight talking radio show to inspire and give business coaching tips needed for success. There was clear synergy with SimkissGuy and so Mark invited us to be guests on his show in November 2013, which was then followed by an invitation to take part in the “Christmas Special” show!
We were thrilled to be invited to take part and to hear that Rachel Elnaugh, former Dragon from the popular BBC series Dragon’s Den has also stepped in to support Radio Plus in its big Christmas prize giveaway on Wednesday 18th December between 4pm and 6pm on 101.5 FM. The show hosted by Mark will see us alongside 4 other local entrepreneurs, including Rachel, step up with prizes to give away worth thousands of pounds to support local business start-ups.
From a one-to-one mentoring session from Rachel to a £3,000 package of sales consultancy, training and coaching, prizes will be allocated during the two-hour show on Wednesday 18th December on a first-come, first-served basis after a brief interview with the donor who featured on Talk Business during 2013.
So how can you be one of the lucky winners? Well listeners will need to call 02477 712 400 between 4pm and 6pm on Wednesday 18th December and will need to be willing to be interviewed on Radio Plus to enter. You will also need to meet at least one of the following criteria:
– Must either be currently studying business at college or university
– Must have a current business plan
– Must be either a start-up or new business with 2 years of trading
We are really looking forward to being part of the show and for giving away the opportunity to join business leaders in Birmingham city centre between March and May 2014 at a series of dynamic business workshops we will be hosting.
