SimkissGuy Director Becky Finalist for Prestigious BYPY Award!

It’s been announced today that our co-owner and director Becky Simkiss, has been selected as one of the finalists in the HR, Training and Recruitment Category for the prestigious Birmingham Young Professional of the Year Awards!
So how does she feel about being put through her paces on judging day by Andy Street and the city’s leading business professionals? What does she think about her competition? And, perhaps most importantly, what is she going to wear to the city’s glitziest awards ceremony on the 2nd May at the ICC??!
“It is such a huge honour to have been selected as a finalist for this year’ BYPY Awards. I’m really so excited about judging day and the awards on the 2nd May! There are some hugely talented finalists so the competition is going to be tough. I am thrilled to be even considered alongside some of the other finalists who I know to be rising stars of the city.
I’m really proud to be part of Birmingham Future and to have a voice in the development of our city. There are some amazing plans for Birmingham over the course of the next few years’; it’s going to be hugely exciting to see.
I have been working in the city for 9 years’ now, so I know from my own experience the opportunities that it can bring.
At SimkissGuy, Richard and I are passionate about our core business values. We are really trying to make a change to the way that recruitment is perceived in the city.
Standing out from the crowd is not always easy, so it is rewarding to know that Birmingham Future has recognised what we do.
I have met Andy Street, Chair of the Judging Panel, a few times before. He is a huge inspiration, so I am so pleased to have the opportunity to share my thoughts on the city with him on judging day!
As for what I am going to wear, I genuinely have no idea yet! I have a feeling that “SimkissGuy Purple”, as I now affectionately call it, will have to make an appearance though!”
