Buying my second monthly season ticket for the daily commute was a real eye opener. Has it really been an entire month since I started full time? In many respects, it feels like I have been at SimkissGuy for so long that the team are practically a second family. And yet, these last 4 weeks have also flown by in the blink of an eye.
While I’m told that the industry tends to slow down as professionals across the region are off on their summer holidays; August was definitely far from the quiet month we were anticipating. In reality, it’s been an absolutely whirlwind with lots of developments going on simultaneously that I can hardly keep track of.
From day one, I have been given the responsibility to manage my own diary, prioritise my workload and reach the goals I set out for myself. Consequently, life in an SME has been a steep learning curve, particularly as I’m still new to the industry. But from start to finish, every member of the team pulls together like a well-oiled machine to achieve the people-focussed service of SimkissGuy Recruitment.
Usually there aren’t enough hours in the day, and the job definitely comes with its ups and downs… but sat in an office filled with a bunch of vibrant and passionate people, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
