Are you an experienced Communications professional, looking to develop your career in one of the country’s leading charities? We have an exclusive opportunity for an ambitious, hands-on and forward-thinking Internal Communications Officer to join a dynamic charity on an initial 4-month contract, with potential for permanent employment and hybrid working.

Working with employees from across the charity, you will fully support the Internal Communications Manager and the Campaigns and Communications Director in delivering their internal communications strategy across internal social media channels, email campaigns and online events. You will create copy and assist with the scheduling of positive news articles and stories from colleagues across the country, ensuring that all teams feel heard and that successes are celebrated and acknowledged. It will be your responsibility to ensure that there is a good pipeline of new content for sharing across social media and for the regular email newsletters, always ensuring that the charities visions and values are at the forefront.

Warm, friendly and engaging, you will build relationships easily with colleagues from across the organisation, acting as the go to person for any questions or queries they may have regarding upcoming events or news updates. With a keen focus on driving engagement from all internal departments, you will monitor responses to email campaigns and social media updates, listening to feedback and using this to influence and drive future campaigns. You will also support with internal events, both online and in-person, designing invites, monitoring responses and making sure activities are diverse and inclusive.

As an experienced communications professional, you will appreciate that hard work, a creative approach and a desire to succeed are crucial in a fast-paced role. You will have a passion for the charitable and not for profit sector and will be looking for a role where you can really make a difference.

To succeed in this exciting Internal Communications role, you will have at least a years’ experience working in internal communications and the ability to demonstrate knowledge of a broad range of communications activities. Experience of using a workplace communications channel would be advantageous, though crucially you will have a clear understanding of social media and trends in the communications market, and the need to use this effectively with appropriate standards of style and branding.
