Curry King of Birmingham returns to the ICC on November 16th 2017 and is a great black tie event created by LoveBrum to raise money for projects across Birmingham. Everyone here at the office is looking forward to seeing all the name entries and of course, the event itself!
Bobby Davro opens the event with his hilarious stand up comedy and will be sure to get everyone laughing! Next your table nominates their head ‘chef’ that will deliver your unique combination of spices to the experts, who will cook up your curry. Whilst this cooks away you will be served a ‘real’ curry cooked by professionals!
Next the interactive quiz and an attempt to turn the room into ‘Birmingham’s biggest board game’ will get everyone mingling. We also have entertainment from a brilliant live band ‘The House Jammers’ and a DJ set from Rob Holliday of The Prodigy and Marilyn Manson. The fundraising will then involve a fun and interactive game of heads and tails, a raffle, a silent auction and live auction! This will raise money for projects across the City that goes directly to the causes, there’s also the opportunity to win some amazing prizes!
The judges include huge personalities and experts from Birmingham’s food scene; you can check them out here: https://ticketlist.co.uk/curryking/. They will shortlist the top 10 curries, before selecting their overall favourite! The 2017 Curry King of Birmingham will then be announced!
