Those who know me will be surprised to hear that being quiet is not really something that comes particularly naturally to me! Shocking I know. The last six weeks or so have been a flurry of activity, but apart from the occasional tweet relating to my “exciting news”, I have been very much off the radar. No networking, no tweets, no mentoring, no drinks after work. You won’t be shocked to hear that this has been a challenge for me. The old adage is true that good things come to those who wait and so all that changes from today!
Our Colmore Plaza office is up and running, the website is live, I have corrected suppliers on my last name dozens of times (for the record, one last time, it’s Becky Simkiss, not Simpkins, Simpkiss, Sunkiss, or indeed my personal favourite – Betty Simkiss) and so SimkissGuy Recruitment is launched.
So now the diary is filling up with networking events, mentoring meetings, Birmingham Future committee meetings, candidate interviews. It’s so good to be back.
SimkissGuy is going to be a breath of fresh air in a market that is full of recruitment companies that all say they do the same, but very few actually deliver. We are going to listen. Really listen. We are going to understand. We are going to work with our clients and candidates in the way that suits them. We are going to offer a service that is director led with one dedicated point of contact for your entire relationship with us. It’s not rocket science, just really great recruitment. I can’t wait.
