“6 months in and still smiling!” – Alex Foyle

It’s been 6 months since I arrived as a full time team member at SimkissGuy. It has truly been a rollercoaster with lots of positive change along the way. When I joined, I was the 5th member of the team and all of a sudden we’re now upgrading to an 11-person office – the progress is incredible.
In the beginning, one of the most daunting tasks for me was to begin to take sole responsibility of shortlisting for a vacancy. Now, I thrive in knowing you are making such a critical difference, and I know I have full support of the team if I ever need it. My time here has been such a learning curve already and yet I find that I’m always absorbing more from my colleagues each day.
It also comes at a time where I’m beginning to forge a profile within the city. Joining the BPS Birmingham Aspire committee has really helped give me the platform to be able to make connections with people in a similar situation to me. More recently, I was accepted into a working group at the Colmore Business District, a committee that’s dedicated to the safety and security of the area. I can’t wait to start making a difference to our business community.
While recruitment was never an industry that I had considered previously, I’m so proud to work for a company that puts service above all else. It’s the little differences that set us miles apart and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
